monoblok

monoblok®, is an Istanbul based interior design studio established in Galata in 2013. monoblok provides interior design services including concept, project, design&build and fit-out services along with bespoke products for clients and project basis. monoblok fuses the data from the context with user experience to create contemporary , functional and sophisticated interior atmospheres.

monoblok’s success is the ability to bring a new concept considering the “context, user and program” for the projects. Just like the unique coordinates of the space, the concept is re-interpreted in form, material, texture or color in each space.

Reyhan Teknegöz Yılmaz | Architect – Founding Partner

She graduated from Yildiz Technical University department of Architecture. Started her career as an architect while she was studying at Yildiz Technical University Building Physics Master class. In between 2008-2013, she got involved in architectural design and project department, working mostly on large scale residential projects.

Selami Yılmaz | Interior Architect – Founding Partner / Lecturer

He graduated from Karadeniz Technical University deparment of Interior Architecture. Started his career working  as a interior architect while he was studying at Istanbul Technical University International Master of Interior Architectural Design (IMIAD). During IMIAD program in 2009, he has been accepted to Stuttgart Hochschule Fur Technik. In 2010 he has attended to Finland Lahti University of Applied Science furniture workshop. Throughout his career, he got several awards in design competitions. He is a visiting  lecturer at Istanbul Kultur University Interior Design Department beside his career in monoblok.
